We all were on the edge of our seats as [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] mounted a comeback on the road against Notre Dame.
The thrilling conclusion resulted in massive rating for NBC, averaging over 10.5 million viewers over the course of the game. It was the network’s largest audience for a college football game in 30 years, when Notre Dame defeated Florida State way back in 1993.
To put it into perspective, On3 gave us some comparisons on viewership. The 10.5 million was similar to this past seasons NBA Finals, the 2022 MLB World Series, and four times the viewers for the most recent NHL Stanley Cup finals.

It certainly helped that this was the most exciting game of the time slot, but as we have seen previously, Ohio State football almost always has high viewer counts. There are plenty of alumni and fans all across the globe who love their Buckeye football.
NEWS: Notre Dame vs. Ohio State averaged 10.5M viewers on NBC🔥
That is 'on par' with the 2023 NBA Finals, the 2022 MLB World Series, and 4 times the viewership of the 2023 NHL Stanley Cup🤯
