Blount, the No. 5 player in the country according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings, stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 250 pounds.
“A twitched-up defensive lineman,” Andrew Ivins, the 247Sports Director of Scouting, wrote about Blount. “Not the biggest – or longest – of defenders, but can win with his initial get-off and a simple chop of the hands.”
Blount also won a Florida 3A state championship in the shot put as a high school freshman, an event he competed in for the AAU Junior Olympics.
