Just days after he was waived by the Tennessee Titans, defensive back Chris Jackson is getting a look from the Carolina Panthers.
According to Aaron Wilson of Click2Houston.com, the Panthers are bringing in Jackson, who was waived by the Titans on Monday, for a workout on Wednesday.
A former seventh-round pick of Tennessee, Jackson was one of just two members remaining from the Titans’ 2020 draft class before being let go, along cornerback Kristian Fulton.
While he showed flashes here and there, Jackson’s time in Tennessee was mostly marred by injuries and ineffective play. He appeared in 24 games (six starts) over three seasons, tallying 59 tackles (two for loss) and five passes defensed in that span.
The Marshall was waived during final cutdowns in 2022 before the Titans brought him back on the practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster after a few weeks but played in just one game before suffering an injury that landed him on injured reserve.
Jackson was thought to have a good shot to make the roster in 2023, but he missed some practice time due to injury and was unable to suit up in the preseason opener against the Bears before Tennessee let him go again.
