Justyn Ross scored a touchdown midway through the third quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs’ first preseason game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The score was a welcome sign for Kansas City’s fans, who have been fed a steady diet of highlights of the second-year receiver through the Chiefs’ training camp process.

Ross is among Kansas City’s most promising young talents and plays like this are indicative of the potential he has in Andy Reid’s offense. The high degree of difficulty to bring this ball in cleanly made this one of the Chiefs’ best plays of the game. The catch is sure to grace television screens across the country as fans get familiar with Kansas City’s up-and-coming pass catcher.
Though the touchdown won’t count toward his career stats, Ross’ fast start in the preseason is certainly heartening for Chiefs Kingdom, who have been pulling for his success since Kansas City signed him after the 2022 NFL draft.
