The games don’t exactly count in the grand scheme of things, but Ohio State rookie C.J. Stroud took his first NFL snap on Thursday night in preseason action.
Stroud was named the starting quarterback for the Houston Texans’ preseason contest against the New England Patriots in Foxboro, Massachusetts, and he didn’t get a whole lot of action but did throw four passes, completing two of them and throwing an interception. Stroud also took a sack.
It probably wasn’t the film he wanted to put out there for his first real action in front of the television cameras in the NFL, but there are some lessons to be learned and some things to build on. It takes a little time to get used to all these former Ohio State players in new uniforms, but our photographers were able to snap some photos to help us all get used to him in the Texans’ red, white, and blue.
Here are some of the best high-resolution photos of C.J. Stroud in action on Thursday night.
