There’s a different vibe in Austin. Texas doesn’t hope it wins anymore. It knows it will win if the team puts in the work.
Motivation has a tendency to work that way. If you know hard work will lead to success, you have a tendency to do what it takes to get to your goals. That’s what Texas is looking at with the most complete roster we have seen in Austin in a long while.
The three takeaways I get from the Longhorns this offseason are that Texas’ roster is complete, proven and together. There’s a continuity from returning several key players. There’s a confidence because it has several proven commodities across the board. That’s the new Texas culture.
There’s little to no anxiety about the upcoming season like seasons past. You don’t have to hope Texas will win more often than it loses. The Longhorns have a team ready to simply go out and win. If all goes well, burnt orange faithful will be able to sit back and enjoy the ride.
