BOOM! Texas A&M has secured their third 2024 commit in the last two days, as three-star interior offensive lineman Coen Echols has committed to the Aggies, joining the likes of four-star tight end Eric Karner, who committing yesterday morning, and four-star linebacker Jordan Lockhart, who announced his commitment Thursday night.
The Katy, TX prospect, who is no stranger to College Station as his father was a former student at A&M, continues the family tradition after verbally committing to Jimbo Fisher and the Maroon and White.
At 6-3 and 285 pounds, he is positioned as the 46th-ranked interior offensive lineman in the 2024 class and the 120th-ranked player in Texas, according to 247Sports Composite. Echols will enter his senior season at Katy High this fall, before staying home in the Lone Star State and suiting up for the Aggies next season.
Echols committed to Texas A&M over the likes of Auburn, Ole Miss, and Nebraska, among others. He becomes the Aggies’ tenth commit of the 2024 class and joins fellow Katy athlete Ashton Funk.

Echols is equipped to be an absolute terror on the interior offensive line thanks to his excellent lateral quickness and strong force at the point of contact. He possesses a very high football IQ and with a potent technique, it’s not far-fetched to assume he could end up playing meaningful snaps early on in his Aggies tenure.
Congratulations, Coen, and we can’t wait for your arrival in College Station! Gig ’em!
