Billy Napier and Co. have been on a tear recently when it comes to luring some of the top prep prospects in the country to Gainesville, but the tireless work on the recruiting front never ends. Likewise, Florida’s focus has not been just on the remaining uncommitted recruits but also on flipping top players from its rival schools as well.
The latest on the flip docket is four-star wide receiver [autotag]Ty Carr[/autotag] out of Moultrie (Georgia) Colquitt County, who has already pledged his talents to the Georgia Bulldogs. However, the Gators as well as the Tennessee Volunteers have piqued his attention enough to keep the dialog open between the player and the program.
As such, Carr is delaying his final decision until the fall which should give him an opportunity to do his due diligence on all of his available options.
“In season,” he told Swamp247’s Blake Alderman in regards to when he plans on making an OV To Gainesville. “I am going to take my official visit here during the season.”
However, his intrigue in the Orange and Blue appears to be lukewarm at best.
“Kind of,” Carr told Alderman when asked about his interest in the Gators. “It’s the receiver play. The receivers can get in the game and be themselves. I like that. I like being myself in a good offense that throws the ball to their receivers.”
Carr is ranked No. 55 overall and No. 11 at his position nationally according to the 247Sports composite while the On3 industry ranking has him at Nos. 64 and 12, respectively.
