One of the best parts of recruiting season is the visits that catch us by surprise, especially with prospects already committed to a program. For Texas A&M, the weekend of June 2nd is a big one from a recruiting standpoint, as head coach Jimbo Fisher and his staff are set to host three notable 2024 prospects, including offensive linemen Coen Echols and Makai Saina and four-star linebacker Tyanthony Smith.
On Tuesday night, one of those exciting surprises made its way to social media (Twitter), as four-star wide receiver Tawaski Abrams, who committed to Florida State back in January, will officially visit College Station and join Echols, Saina, and Smith on the weekend of June 2.
Abrams is an incredibly agile athlete and is most dangerous in space, but he is also a straight-line burner who, at 5-11 and 175 pounds, is an instant threat in the slot. According to 247Sports, he’s currently ranked 43rd wide receiver in the class and the 39th-ranked player in Florida.

The Aggies will now have their chance to make their pitch to Abrams this summer, and if their current 2023 wide receiver rotation isn’t enough of a selling point, maybe playing Evan Stewart, Moose Muhammad, and Ainias Smith highlights on repeat is an idea to ponder.
