2024 4-star Safety Jordan Pride commits to Texas A&M

Texas A&M has officially landed one of the top defensive backs in the 2024 recruiting class as 4-star safety Jordan Pride commits to Texas A&M

BOOM! Texas A&M has landed its sixth commitment in the 2024 recruiting class, as four-star safety Jordan Pride out of Florida is tied with four-star defensive lineman Dealyn Evans as the highest-rated player in the class, and the first defensive back for the Maroon and White this cycle.

Pride chose the Aggies over six other SEC programs, including Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, Ole Miss, and Alabama, all after de-committing from his first choice, Florida State, where he was committed for almost two years.

After spending a short time at the prestigious IMG Academy before transferring back to Blountstown High School in Blountstown, Florida, where Pride went on to record 20 tackles and 2 interceptions, including a pick-six on defense, and caught 22 passes for 667 yards and 6 TD as a receiver on offense.

Ranked as one of the 100 ranked players in the 2024 cycle, Pride is the 6th ranked safety and the 18th-ranked player in Florida, and while former Aggie safety/nickel corner Antonio Johnson essentially broke the mold of versatility as one of the best hybrid safeties to play for the Maroon and White in the last decade, Pride’s 6-2, 175-pound frame and experience at multiple positions in the secondary, and ball skills on offense puts him in a great position to make an instant impact as soon as he steps foot on campus in 2024.

Congratulations, Jordan! Gig ‘Em!
