Throughout the courtship process of [autotag]Odell Beckham Jr.[/autotag], many saw the Dallas Cowboys as the top choice to land him.
The Cowboys had pursued Beckham at the end of last year for a playoff run but ultimately chose not to sign him due to reported concerns about his readiness to play.
With Beckham likely making a comeback this fall, Dallas was seen as a likely landing spot, but after acquiring former Houston Texans receiver Brandin Cooks via trade, the Cowboys are now likely out of the running for Beckham, according to a report from ESPN’s Ed Werder on Sunday morning.
The trade for WR Brandin Cooks likely takes the #Cowboys out of the competition for OBJ, per source.

After impressing in a workout last week, Beckham has reportedly been in contact with several teams who are showing interest. There’s a decent chance he’s back on a roster soon, though it looks like it’s not going to be in Dallas.
