PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia 76ers earned a blowout win on Sunday night when they led the Washington Wizards by as many as 25 on their way to a 112-93 win at home. Due to the nature of the game, the Sixers were able to rest their main guys in the fourth quarter.
Second-year guard Jaden Springer was the beneficiary of some garbage time minutes. He played three minutes late. Though he didn’t make a shot, he had two steals, a rebound and an assist.
His defense on Wizards guard Kendrick Nunn late in the game was impressive. It was obvious Springer was taking advantage of the opportunity presented to him and he earned praise from his teammates after the win.
