The LSU baseball team continues to look like the unanimous preseason No. 1 team it was tabbed as.
The Tigers’ bats were on fire this weekend at Alex Box Stadium and the pitching was dominant as they went 4-0 in contests against Butler and Central Connecticut State. Three of these four games ended via run rule, and Friday night’s 12-2 win over Butler would have had the teams not agreed to play nine innings no matter what.
LSU sits at 11-1 on the season and will be back in action against Lamar on Wednesday night. Then, the Tigers draw Samford for the final weekend series before SEC play begins.
