I don’t think anyone can blame Ohio State kicker Noah Ruggles for going silent. After being nails for two years as the starting place-kicker for the Buckeyes (most accurate OSU kicker ever), he couldn’t get the one that mattered the most against Georgia in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. The kick would have sent the Buckeyes to the national championship game, but the 50-yarder never had a chance from foot to ball.
Since then, many have wondered how Ruggles is doing. The sensible folks in Buckeye Nation know what he meant for the program and that this one kick will unfortunately follow him for the rest of his life. If … he lets it.
If there’s one thing Ruggles has shown us though, it is that he’s a resilient guy who loved being a Buckeye, and that he’ll be fine as he blazes his next path. Ruggles posted an Instagram post that thanked Buckeyes Nation and set the table for a chance to pursue his NFL dreams.

Go on and do big things, Noah. All of Buckeye Nation is behind you.
