Damar Hamlin’s recovery and hospitalization after suffering cardiac arrest last week continues. But the consistently improving player had his teammates in mind overnight prior to their first game back on the field.
Following the Bills’ 35-23 win over the Patriots in Week 18, cornerback Tre’Davious White revealed that Hamlin contacted the locker room overnight.
Through a text message, Hamlin even apologized for getting hurt, a notion that touched White. He clearly was emotional recalling the message during his post-game press conference.
“I can’t wait to hug the s— out of him,” White said.
See the attached 13WHAM clip below for White’s story:
Damar Hamlin texted his teammates at 2:31 AM yesterday morning:
"I'm thinking about y'all. I'm sorry I did that to y'all."
Tre White can't wait to 'hug the sh*t out' of his teammate.
