Former Ohio State defensive lineman gets shot in XFL #XFL #GoBucks

The newest iteration of the XFL kicks off on February 18, 2023, and more football means more opportunity for one former Ohio State player. The Seattle Sea Dragons drafted former Buckeye defensive tackle, Antwuan Jackson, in the ninth round of their positional draft and he will be hoping to continue his football career.

Jackson went undrafted in 2022 and had a cup of coffee with the New York Giants during their rookie minicamp, but that failed to materialize into a meaningful contract. Jackson had an interesting college career that spanned six seasons and started at Auburn in 2016 after being a heavily recruited four-star out of the state of Georgia. He received a redshirt in 2016 and transferred to the Junior College level where he was a star for Blinn College in 2017 and eventually landed in Columbus for the 2018 season.

During his four seasons at Ohio State, Jackson started 12 games while seeing action in 38 and amassed 48 tackles with nine for loss and 3.5 sacks. Jackson has the potential to turn the XFL into a long-term situation. Jackson has shown flashes of legit talent and has the ideal size at 6’2″ and 300 pounds to play in any scheme on the interior.
