No. 15 Ohio State (1-0) defeated the Lady Vols, 87-75, at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
The Lady Vols led, 22-16, in the first quarter. Tennessee extended its advantage to 41-33 at halftime.
The Buckeyes opened the second half on a 30-13 run.
Jordan Horston recorded a double-double for the Lady Vols, recording 20 points and 13 points.
Jasmine Powell added 19 points, while Tess Darby and Rickea Jackson recorded nine points each. Tamari Key totaled eight points for Tennessee.
Ohio State had four players post double figures in the scoring column.
Rebeka Mikulasikova scored 17, Jacy Sheldon recorded 14 and Taylor Thierry finished with 10 points.
