Apparently all the good stories come out once you become head coach. For Jim Leonhard, Monday’s appearance on the Big Ten Network wasn’t only focused on the win over Northwestern.
The Big Ten Network’s Dave Resine also brought us back to a moment from Leonhard’s walk-on career as a Badger. The football team decided to hold a dunk contest, but didn’t expect a 5-foot-8 kid from Ladysmith, Wisconsin to win it.
Leonhard had the whole team shocked as he took home the dunk contest championship. He recapped the experience on Monday in an appearance that was meant to center around his first win as a Badger head coach:
