Texas fans are anxiously awaiting the return of quarterback Quinn Ewers.
Ewers looked fantastic throughout the first quarter against Alabama prior to injuring his shoulder. He was diagnosed with an SC sprain that many felt would keep him sidelined for 4-6 weeks. The earliest date for his return was tabbed for Oct. 8 against Oklahoma.
However, Ewers returned to practice much earlier than anticipated and has dressed out the last couple games. It appears he is still having discomfort and is limited.
Pete Thamel of ESPN reported on Saturday morning that Ewers will not start the West Virginia game in Week 5 and is eyeing a return for Oklahoma next week.
