Auburn’s SEC opener was a wild one.
After jumping out to a 14-0 lead, Missouri stormed back to force overtime. After an Anders Carlson field goal, and a fumble at the goal line, Auburn arose as victors, 17-14.
Robby Ashford had a successful first career start for Auburn, completing 12-of-18 passes for 127 yards. Derick Hall had a great day defensively, making six stops, with three of them being made behind the line of scrimmage.
Next up for Auburn is a date with LSU. Auburn welcomes their SEC West rivals to Jordan-Hare Stadium next Saturday at 6 p.m. CT.
