Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Bobby Hart got into a physical altercation with a Tennessee Titans player after the Week 2 game on Monday night, which led to him punching a Titans coach.
According to a release from the league, Hart, who also played for the Titans in 2021, and the unnamed Titans player got into a scuffle that was initiated by the Bills offensive lineman following the game.
In the fracas, Hart landed a blow on an unnamed Titans coach, which has led to the one-game ban. Per the league:
As both teams were heading to the tunnel, you walked directly across the field to seek out your opponent. You approached him near the end zone and a coach had to hold you back as others shook hands. Once you and your opponent were in the end zone near the tunnel, you confronted him and immediately swung at him with a closed fist, striking the head of a Tennessee coach. Your aggressive conduct could have caused serious injury and clearly does not reflect the high standards of sportsmanship expected of a professional.
Hart was one of the NFL record 91 players the Titans fielded in 2021, appearing in three games for Tennessee. Hart’s Bills got the better of Tennessee in Week 2, winning 41-7.
