The quarterback room in Cleveland has changed dynamics once again. The Browns placed a successful waiver claim on QB Kellen Mond, who was waived by the Vikings on Tuesday.
Mond was a third-round pick by the Vikings in 2021 out of Texas A&M but never clicked with then-coach Mike Zimmer. The new Minnesota regime led by former Browns personnel man Kwesi Adofo-Mensah also didn’t see enough to keep Mond around through the initial 53-man roster cutdowns.
Mond joins a Browns QB room that currently features starter Jacoby Brissett and backup Josh Dobbs, with Deshaun Watson not counting against the roster limit while he serves his 11-game NFL suspension.
