When it comes to individual accolades in college football, everyone wants a piece of the prestigious Heisman Trophy — awarded annually to the best player in the sport.
With the 2022 season right around the corner, we thought it appropriate to break down the top preseason Heisman odds and who might very well strike the pose come December.
However, there is one caveat we should note. Since 2009, only one preseason Heisman favorite (Oregon’s Marcus Mariota in 2014) has ended up taking home the trophy by the end of the year. That might not be the best news for a certain Ohio State star, but it leaves the door open for a stacked field.
