As with every player on the Denver Broncos offense, especially wide receiver Courtland Sutton, the arrival of future Hall of Fame quarterback Russell Wilson has the momentum arrow pointing upward on all of them.
Below, we look at Courtland Sutton‘s 2022 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.
After catching 72 passes for 1,112 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2019, Sutton went down to injury in the regular season opener of the 2020 season and missed the rest of year. When he returned, the QB situation in Denver was a mess and his numbers were extremely low. That is expected to change in a big way this year.

The turn of the draft into the 6th round has proved to be a hotbed for wide receivers coming off the draft board. DK Metcalf (Seattle Seahawks) gets it started with an ADP of 52.52, just barely ahead of Sutton. Then in rapid succession come Amon-Ra St. Brown (Detroit Lions) at 55.36, Brandin Cooks (Houston Texans) at 56.19, Adam Thielen (Minnesota Vikings) at 56.60, Michael Thomas (New Orleans Saints) at 56.60 and Allen Robinson (Los Angeles Rams) at 57.66 as a huge flurry of filling WR spots takes place.

Where should you draft Sutton?
With the run on wide receivers, you’re looking at a series of No. 1 wide receivers with shaky quarterbacks and No. 2 guys on offenses that have proved themselves. Sutton falls in both categories — the No. 1 receiver with a good quarterback.
Sutton’s place as the No. 20 receiver has him on the cusp of being a WR2 or WR3. Personally I would prefer to have Sutton as a WR3 or, better yet, Jerry Jeudy as a WR4 because I’m not convinced their numbers are going to be drastically different.
Wilson has breathed life back into the franchise and Sutton will be first in line to show whether his arrival will be the uptick that is expected. I’m just not 100 percent sold on counting on Sutton to be a weekly lineup staple.
