Lady Vols’ incoming freshman Justine Pissott scored two points for Team USA in its 77-41 victory over Mexico in the 2022 FIBA U18 Women’s Americas Championships.
Pissott, a 6-foot-4 wing player from Toms River, New Jersey, played 12 minutes, 34 seconds at Estadio Obras Sanitarias in Buenos Aries, Argentina.
The Lady Vol recorded three rebounds and three assists in the quarterfinal game. She was 0-for-1 from the floor and 0-for-1 from beyond the 3-point arc.
Pissott was 2-for-2 from the free throw line for Team USA (4-0), which opened a 29-6 lead in the first quarter.
Team USA has won nine consecutive gold medals in the U18 Women’s Americas Championships and has claimed 10 gold medals since the event’s inception in 1988.
