The Texas Longhorns are continuing to be active in the transfer portal.
While much of their offseason additions have been on the offensive side of the ball, the Longhorns were able to land their second defensive transfer on Friday. James Madison transfer linebacker Diamonte Tucker-Dorsey announced his commitment to the University of Texas via Sports Illustrated.
Tucker-Dorsey entered his name in the transfer portal on May 17 and Texas extended an offer less than 24 hours later. In 2021, he totaled 116 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and four interceptions for the Dukes.

He will have one year of eligibility remaining and will become a crucial piece to Texas’ defensive unit this season. The Longhorns lack quality depth at the position, and Tucker-Dorsey has the experience and production to compete for a starting role immediately.
