PHOTOS: Colorado’s rivalry with Nebraska through the years

PHOTOS: Looking back at Colorado’s rivalry with Nebraska

One of the most underrated rivalries in college football is likely between the Colorado Buffaloes and Nebraska Cornhuskers. The two squads have been battling it out on the gridiron since 1898, with the Big Red owning a 49-20-2 all-time series advantage.

Both programs were at their heights in the 1990s, providing several memorable games. And then in 2001, the score 62-36 was permanently implanted into the minds of Buffs fans.

Colorado currently owns a two-game win streak following a pair of unforgettable come-from-behind wins in 2018 and 2019.  While we’re in the midst of another short break, the rivalry will be renewed in 2023 at Folsom Field and in 2024 at Memorial Stadium.

Take a look back at the best photos over the past 30-plus years, and please be at least somewhat friendly to our friends over at the newly-launched Cornhuskers Wire.
