Since the conclusion of the NCAA Tournament, Wisconsin has been active in the transfer portal, and have been linked to a number of intriguing prospects.
It was reported several weeks ago that UW had made contact with former Brookfield East standout and two-time D2 All-American Patrick Cartier of Hillsdale College.
Earlier today, the 6-foot-8 forward announced that he would be transferring to Colorado State of the Mountain West Conference.
Cartier averaged 22.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and shot just over 60% from the field for the Chargers last season.
Looks like Greg Gard and the Badgers will head back to the drawing board, continuing their search as they look to fill their three available scholarships.
Thrilled to announce that I will be taking the next step in my basketball journey at Colorado State University for two years of graduate school! Thank you to everyone that has helped me along the way. Can’t wait to get to work!! 🐏 @CSUMBasketball pic.twitter.com/5lM4kvHNH7
