Four-star offensive lineman puts Ohio State in final list of four

Ohio State hopes to add a big-time talent from the country of Finland.

The Ohio State football team got some good news on April Fools Day, but this was no joke. Four-star offensive tackle, Olaus Alinen has put Ohio State as a finalist to land his services.

Alinen currently attends The Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Connecticut but is originally from the country of Finland. The 6-6 prospect is the No. 14 rated offensive tackle in the 2023 class according to 247Sports composite rankings.

Other schools joining the Buckeyes on Alinen’s shortlist include Alabama, Georgia, and the Miami Hurricanes.

As of now, the Crimson Tide seems to be the heavy favorite to land Alinen but the prospect spoke favorably of the Buckeyes to Chad Simmons of On3.

Ohio State has tradition, they know how to win championships, and they also develop players. The environment stood out to me at Ohio State. I fit in with the guys there, I was there in the meetings, and I liked the people. Ohio State is just an overall great platform.

Alinen is scheduled to visit Columbus this summer on June 23. There’s still a lot of time for the Buckeyes to win the Finland native over.
