The Lady Vols suffered its fifth consecutive road loss Sunday, losing 67-53 to No. 1 South Carolina (25-1, 13-1 SEC) at Colonial Life Arena.
No. 12 Tennessee (21-6, 10-4 SEC) was without one of its top players, Jordan Horston, who was injured against Alabama Thursday.
The Lady Vols had three players post double figures in the scoring column as Rae Burrell led UT with 14 points. Jordan Walker added 11 points and four steals. Tamari Key scored 10 points and had seven rebounds.
Alexus Dye had six points and 11 rebounds for Tennessee, which trailed, 32-23, at halftime.
Aliyah Boston had a double-double for the Gamecocks, finishing with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Zia Cooke added 12 points and Destanni Henderson recorded 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists for South Carolina.
