The city of Lubbock has had Chris Beard’s return marked on their calendar since he took the Texas job last April. Fans began to camp out for Tuesday’s game a full 72 hours before tip.
Tech students greeted Beard and the Longhorns with lots of “excitement’ to say the least.
Mark Adams and No. 14 Texas Tech have picked up right where Beard left off in Lubbock. The Red Raiders are 16-5 with wins over Baylor, Kansas and Iowa State.
The atmosphere in Lubbock has been a major advantage this season for Texas Tech. The Red Raiders boast an impressive 13-0 record in front of their home crowd.
Texas has had some growing pains in Beard’s first season but has climbed back into the top 25 and is riding high on a three-game win streak.
