After an illustrious career at Texas, kicker Cameron Dicker is moving on to the NFL.
The school announced on Wednesday that Dicker will in fact forego his final year of eligibility. He had many great moments as a Longhorn, and finished his career as the program’s career leader in field goals made (60), tied for first in career attempts (79), second all-time in extra points made (206), and fourth in career field goal accuracy at 75.9 percent.
During the 2021 season, he also took over the punting duties, and did quite well earning All-Big 12 first-team honors and while also being named a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award.
Texas will either turn to Bert Auburn, who appeared in the Rice game and made 3-of-3 extra point attempts, or Will Stone who is among the 2022 recruiting class.
Regardless of who takes over, they will have some huge shoes to fill, as Dicker made some clutch kicks during his career.
