Alabama has recently seen some star wide receivers leave the program and enter the NFL. In 2021, Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith have lit up the league in their rookie seasons. In 2022, there will be another young receiver in the league to have come out of the Crimson Tide program: Jameson Williams.
Williams transferred into Alabama for the 2021 season after spending his first two seasons at Ohio State. His production skyrocketed while wearing Crimson. He totaled 79 receptions for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns.
He was expected to be the first wide receiver off the board in the 2022 draft, but a torn ACL in the national championship game may change that.
Williams shared his draft announcement on his Instagram page.
