With an infuriating loss to end the season, the Indianapolis Colts’ postseason hopes are now in the rearview mirror. Indianapolis had two weeks in a row to “win and get in” but failed both times and will now head back home empty-handed.
While no player really shining today, Michael Pittman Jr. made something out of nothing and was one of Indy’s only players that could move the ball. He finished the game with six catches for 64 yards and a touchdown.
Pittman tried to keep the Colts in the game in the fourth quarter, but it was too late for any magic to really happen. He and Jonathan Taylor really shined in Year 2 and are proving to be the key weapons for the Colts moving forward.
A 9-8 result is not how many people thought this season would end up. This team beat a lot of good teams and fumbled the bag against other inferior opponents. This season had many bright spots but also left much to be desired.
