The Tennessee Titans have made a total of six moves ahead of their “Thursday Night Football” game against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Titans announced they have activated wide receiver A.J. Brown and cornerback Chris Jackson off Injured Reserve. Earlier in the day it was reported that Brown was expected to play in Week 16.
Jackson and Brown haven’t seen the field since Week 11 against the Houston Texans. Brown’s return is particularly important, as Tennessee’s offense has struggled mightily in recent weeks.
The Titans also placed offensive lineman Kendall Lamm on the COVID-19 list, and they are elevating defensive lineman Kevin Strong and offensive linemen Daniel Munyer and Christian DiLauro from the practice squad for the game versus the Niners. All three players will revert back after the game.
Lamm, who was supposed to replace an injured Taylor Lewan, announced on Thursday he had tested positive for the virus. Tennessee now has four players on the list, including Lamm, left guard Rodger Saffold, cornerback Elijah Molden, and practice squad safety Jamal Carter.
The Titans will meet the Niners at Nissan Stadium in Nashville on Thursday night, with kickoff set for 7:20 p.m. CST.
