Seahawks TE Gerald Everett has chance to return from COVID-19 list to face Rams

Seattle Seahawks TE Gerald Everett has a chance to return from the Reserve/COVID-19 list in time to face the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night.

The Seattle Seahawks were without tight end Gerald Everett Week 4 against the San Francisco 49ers after he tested positive for the coronavirus and was placed on the team’s Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Coach Pete Carroll thinks Everett could be available to face his former club Thursday night when the Seahawks square off against the Rams.

At this point we are saying there’s a chance,” Carroll told reporters on Monday. “He had a good report today, but the report tomorrow is really the crucial one. He’s testing locally, the PCR test down south, so we will know more tomorrow and then it will take another day before we will know if he has a chance.

“At this point you’re saying there’s a chance, he’s got one.

Because Everett has been vaccinated against the coronavirus, he only needs two consecutive negative test days before he can be cleared to return to play.

Carroll confirmed his first negative test was on Monday.
