Although Sundays have been taken over by football with the start of the new NFL season, Klay Thompson was tuned in to the baseball diamond. On Sunday, Thompson’s brother Trayce was in action for the Chicago Cubs.
For the first time since 2018, Thompson has been called up to the big leagues. On Tuesday, the younger Thompson joined the Cubs from their Triple-A affiliate in Iowa.
During Chicago’s contest on Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers, Thompson went yard for the first time with his new club. In the fifth inning, Thompson blasted a shot off Eric Laurer to give the Cubs a 1-0 advantage.
Following his brother’s home run, the Golden State Warriors shooting guard chimed in with a reaction on Twitter.

Thompson’s long ball helped push the Cubs to a 6-4 victory over the Brewers. The 30-year-old outfielder went 1-3 with an RBI and a walk.
Thompson will be back on the diamond on Monday against the Minnesota Twins at Wrigley Field.
