Michigan State has added to its 2022 class, with the Spartans picking up a commitment from four-star power forward Jaxon Kohler on Sunday evening.
Kohler revealed his college decision via Twitter, with Michigan State beating out Nebraska, USC, Oklahoma and Iowa for his talents. Kohler visited East Lansing last weekend, and had recently become a top priority for Tom Izzo and the Spartans.

Kohler is ranked as the No. 9 power forward and No. 62 overall prospect in the 2022 class by 247Sports.
Kohler is listed at 6-foot-9 and 250 pounds, and hails from American Fork, Utah. He plays his prep ball at Southern California Academy.
Kohler joins point guard Tre Holloman as the only two commits in the Spartans’ 2022 class so far. However, Michigan State is expected to pick up at least one more recruit in this class.
After missing out on a few other targets in the past few months, landing Kohler is great to see for Michigan State. The Spartans were in a tough spot with the 2022 class but have gotten things back on track with this commitment.
