If you are even just a casual observer or fan of Ohio State football, you know who Chris Olave is. He’s on the shortlist of best receivers in the college game and has a good chance to be a first-round draft pick in the upcoming 2022 NFL draft.
But there are a few things about Olave maybe you didn’t know. First off, he was only a 3-star prospect coming out of San Marcos, California. He committed to the Buckeyes in 2018 class, then burst onto the scene his freshman year when he broke out against Michigan. Ever since then, he’s been making big play after big play with his smooth route running, great hands, and ability to get over the top of defenses.
Aside from that though, Olave has come to love Columbus. And, as with anyone that becomes fond of a city, there are a few places that have become go-to spots for him. Some, that you are probably fairly familiar with as well.
Thanks to “Whistle,” a sports and entertainment media company, you can get a look at what kind of makes Olave tick, why he has become awfully fond of Columbus, and see three of his favorite spots in and around the Arch City.
Here’s to looking forward to Olave’s last year in a Buckeye uniform and the bright future we believe is ahead of him in the NFL. We’re glad that he found it in his heart to leave the sun and beaches of California to head to the Midwest and become a star.
