Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff looks to turn over a new leaf in the Motor City after an offseason trade from the Los Angeles Rams. Below, we look at Jared Goff‘s 2021 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.
Goff was swapped for QB Matthew Stafford this offseason, as the Rams elected to go another way. It’s a new start for Goff, who last season had his fewest passing yards since 2017. He also had his lowest yards per attempt since his 2016 rookie season.

Fantasy managers do not appear to think much of Goff, and it appears not many believe a change of scenery will lead to much success.
He is currently the 29th quarterback off the board in redraft leagues, behind even the likes of Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson (average pick – 120.09).

Where should you take Jared Goff in your fantasy football draft?
Goff heads to a situation where he’ll have a high-end target in TE T.J. Hockenson, a player believed to be in the top five at his position in terms of fantasy.
That’s the good news. The bad news is that he’ll have a hodgepodge of wideouts with Breshad Perriman, Kalif Raymond and Tyrell Williams as the top three targets. Victor Bolden Jr., Quintez Cephus and rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown make up the second group, but that’s not a receiving corps that will scare anybody.
Goff was able to do some good things last season, including a 67.0 completion percentage and 4 rushing touchdowns, both career highs. He will also be able to operate behind a somewhat competent offensive line, and one which improved dramatically in the draft with the addition of OT Penei Sewell.
However, Goff is still considered a low-end QB2 or QB3 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams heading into 2021. He might be a streaming option when your primary option has a bye, or as an injury replacement, but he could easily go undrafted in the majority of leagues.
