After a difficult, injury-plagued 2020, San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle will look to return to being the league’s best fantasy tight end in 2021. Below, we look at George Kittle‘s 2021 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.
Kittle exploded onto the scene in 2018. Since then, he’s been to two Pro Bowls and was an All-Pro in 2019.
2020 was a difficult season as Kittle played in just 8 games. He had under half as many yards as he did in 2018. However, his sluggish 2020 could gift some managers him later in the draft.

Kittle is currently being drafted as the No. 3 tight end.
Still a clear TE1, Kittle is behind TE Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs) TE Darren Waller (Las Vegas Raiders). Without much of a run game, Kittle is the only 49er typically taken in the top 50. He’s been taken as high as 5 and as low as 52.
This is an appropriate place for Kittle. At the end of the second round in 12-team leagues, he would offer great value in PPR or standard leagues.
Kittle should 100% be kept in any three-keeper league and should be highly considered in two-keeper leagues as well. There’s no reason to think he won’t bounce back as the league’s best tight end in 2021.

Where should you take Kittle in your fantasy football draft?
Take Kittle anywhere in the second round. In 12-team standard leagues, feel free to reach for him early in the second.
While the quarterback situation in San Francisco is a bit blurry, whether Jimmy Garoppolo or Trey Lance starts, Kittle will be the 49ers’ go-to option.
His health issues from last season shouldn’t impact his value as they aren’t lingering injuries. The athletic, 6-foot-4 receiver should be primed to return to being the best fantasy tight end.
He’s a solid second-round pick and consider yourself lucky if he’s still available in the third round.
In keeper leagues, if he’s even on the board he should be taken almost immediately. Kittle is a great, underrated option heading into the 2021 season.
