It’s a select group. Every once in a while a player comes along in the Ohio State football program that makes it as a unanimous First-Team All-American. To do it, a player must be named First-Team by the Associated Press, AFCA, FWAA, The Sporting News, and Walter Camp. That’s right, all of them.
The Buckeyes are near the top when it comes to a historical number of players making it as a unanimous First-Team All-American, third behind just Alabama and Notre Dame. All told, OSU has had a unanimous All-American a whopping 33 times, just one behind Notre Dame, and six behind the Crimson Tide. Arch rival Michigan has 25 unanimous selections total.
