Former Alabama running back Najee Harris had an incredible final season with the Crimson Tide. As he prepares for the 2021 NFL draft, many wonder where he’ll begin his professional career.
Harris’ 2020 campaign proved that he is different from other running backs in his class.
In recent drafts, running backs have been seen as a position that should be targeted after the first round. However, Harris’ skills make him a very valuable player that could be off the board by the end of the first night of the draft.
There is only one other member of his positional class that has rivaled him for the ‘RB1’ spot: Clemson’s Travis Etienne.
BetMGM released their odds for who will be the first running back drafted, and they favor Harris over Etienne.

Here’s how the top three running backs rank:
- Najee Harris -140
- Travis Etienne +120
- Javonte Williams +650
