The 2021 NFL draft is just around the corner.
Texas had eight players choose to enter the NFL draft and three of them could realistically be selected within the first two days. Pass rusher Joseph Ossai, offensive tackle Samuel Cosmi and safety Caden Sterns are widely considered Texas’ top draft prospects.
While Cosmi was the clear-cut favorite months ago to be a high first round pick, Ossai has closed the gap and put up impressive Pro Day numbers in March. He single-handedly took over games for the Longhorns last season and his versatility at the professional level certainly bodes well for him.
Outside of these three players, there’s potential for quarterback Sam Ehlinger and defensive lineman Ta’Quon Graham to be taken off of the board in the middle rounds.
Longhorns Wire staff members each projected who they believe will become Texas’ top draft pick this year. Take a look at the selections on the next page.
