The Georgia Bulldogs are among five-star defensive tackle Walter Nolen’s top eight schools. Nolen is rated as the No. 2 prospect in in the rising senior class.
Georgia, Florida, Oregon, Ohio State, USC, Michigan, LSU, and Alabama are in Nolen’s top eight schools. The five-star defensive tackle’s recruitment remains open, but these schools certainly have a leg up on the competition.
Walter Nolen is a member of the class of 2022 who plays high school football for St. Benedict at Auburndale in Cordova, Tennessee. At 6-foot-4 and weighing 300 pounds, Nolen has the size to compete in major college football.
The Georgia Bulldogs made Nolen’s top eight schools after missing his top 10, which he released on Feb. 18. The five-star prospect took Clemson, Auburn, and Tennessee out of the top 10 he released a few months ago.
Nolen is ranked as the best recruit in Tennessee and the best defensive tackle in the country. The only prospect ranked higher than Nolen is Ohio State quarterback commit Quinn Ewers.
Walter Nolen announced his top eight schools via his Twitter account:

Kirby Smart and the University of Georgia currently have two elite defensive tackle commitments in the class of 2022 in Tyre West and Bear Alexander. How many defensive tackles will Georgia recruit?
Jordan Davis, Travon Walker, Devonte Wyatt, and Julian Rochester could all head to the 2022 NFL draft following the upcoming 2021 college football season.
