Georgia football offers scholarship to Buford DE

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to Buford High School defensive end recruit Eddrick Houston

The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to Buford High School defensive end Eddrick Houston, who is a member of the class of 2024.

Eddrick Houston is only a freshman, but he helped Buford win a state championship in football against top flight competition in the state of Georgia. Houston is 6 feet, 3 inches tall. He’ll continue to add to his frame throughout his high school career.

The rising sophomore defensive end is a star wrestler and participates in track and field, too. In wrestling, he is a freshman state champion in the 285 pound weight class.

The Buford High School multi-sport athlete also has a football scholarship offer from Florida State. Due to his youth, Houston is unranked as a recruit. He’s a name to watch for the future. Houston can play tight end as well, but he’s considered more of a defensive end prospect at the next level.

Houston announced his scholarship offer from the University of Georgia via his Twitter account:

We’ll keep you updated throughout Houston’s college football recruiting journey. Kirby Smart and Georgia are among the top schools for Jake Pope, who is one of Houston’s teammates at Buford.
