We all know about the recent rivalry between Ohio State and Clemson on the football field. Dabo Swinney has helped fuel that fire along with Clemson’s success against the Buckeyes. That is of course until Justin Fields and company doused those flames with a fire hose in the CFP semi-final blowout of the Tigers in the Sugar Bowl.
And then there is everybody’s All-American, Trevor Lawrence. With his long flowing locks, he’s one of those guys that we just don’t want to like, but there just isn’t too much to dislike about the guy. Other than maybe where he chose to play college football.
Lawrence and Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields have been linked since high school growing up just 30 minutes apart. They were the No. 1 and 2 overall rated players in the 2018 recruiting class. While each wants to be the best, there has never been any signs of animosity towards each other – only respect.
The Clemson QB and presumed No. 1 NFL draft pick showed again why it’s hard for Buckeye fans to dislike the guy when he showed Justin Fields some love on his personal Twitter feed.

Lawrence is expected to join Urban Meyer in Jacksonville while Fields has been predicted anywhere from the Jets at No. 2 all the way down to No. 15 to the Patriots. Although we can’t see him slipping past No. 8 with Carolina.
Either way, these two are going to always have a connection and it looks like it will continue to stay positive, cheering for each other all along the way.
