Trey Sermon is world-famous for two things. First and foremost, he had a breakout end of the year for Ohio State, all while breaking the OSU single-game rushing record against Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship game. However, he might be even more known for his antics in the Fiesta Bowl vs. Clemson.
You remember it well right? Sermon took a handoff and seemed to get rolled down by a Clemson defender. However, the whistle did not blow, and Sermon kept on truckin’ to the end zone for a touchdown. It looked like a heads-up, game-changing play. After a review though, it was determined that Sermon was down. He almost got away with it.
But that wasn’t the most memorable part of the play. After the review, Sermon looked directly into the camera with a bit of a smirk like he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Here’s a reminder.

Fast forward to the here and now and the Buckeye running back is prepping for the upcoming NFL draft. He took some time out though and was recently seen at Ohio State spring practice visiting his old coaches and teammates. He posted a quick message on the Ohio State Football Twitter feed and then signed off in classic form — repeating the same face we all saw when OSU rolled Clemson and fed Dabo Swinney some crow.
Have a look below and enjoy the memories.
