Best college football offensive targets left in the transfer portal

Who are the best college football offensive players still left in the world-famous transfer portal? Buckeyes Wire has the scoop for you.

The arrival of the transfer portal in college football means that transfers are more important than ever. Before the arrival of the transfer portal in 2018, Ohio State only had a few meaningful transfers in its history including Justin Boren (Michigan) and Kent Graham (Notre Dame). But now the Buckeye program relies heavily on experienced transfers like Justin Fields (Georgia) and most recently, Trey Sermon (Oklahoma).

And you can bet that the transfer portal isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon. It’s now a part of the recruiting business of big-time college football whether traditionalists — and frankly — non-traditionalists like it or not. That means Ohio State will continue to look at guys that are moving on to another program if they are a good fit in the near and distant future.

And while this year’s team seems pretty well set when it comes to kicking the tires on the transfer portal, that doesn’t mean something won’t materialize or is being looked at behind the scenes. And even if the Buckeyes aren’t looking, there are sure to be other teams that are.

The following are the best transfers remaining at each offensive position.
