Kings at Avalanche: Projected starting goalies
Calvin Petersen (4-5-4, 2.61 GAA, .920 SV%) vs. Philipp Grubauer (14-7-0, 1.95 GAA, .920 SV%, 4 SO)
Petersen allowed just one goal on 45 shots in Friday’s 2-0 loss at Colorado, as he was outdueled by Grubauer in a well-played defensive game. It was a nice bounce-back game for Petersen, who was touched up for six goals on 25 shots in the previous outing in Anaheim on Monday.
Grubauer was rarely tested in Friday’s 2-0 win, but he turned aside all 18 of the shots he faced for his fourth shutout of the season, and second in five starts. After coughing up five goals in San Jose on March 1, Grubauer has rounded back into form with just six goals allowed across his past five starts over 305:34.

Kings at Avalanche: Odds, lines, predictions and picks
Prediction
Avalanche 4, Kings 1
Money line (ML)
The Avalanche (-250) will cost you two and a half times your potential return, and that’s not a good long-term betting strategy, especially on a team that has won just twice in the past four games at home. PASS.

Against the spread (ATS)
The AVALANCHE -1.5 (+105) are a better play at plus-money on the puck line, even though they’re having some issues putting the puck in the net lately.
Colorado is just middle of the road on offense, posting 2.96 goals per game to rank 15th despite the fact they’re first in shots on goal (33.8) per game.
Over/Under (O/U)
UNDER 6 (-120) is the way to go in this battle, after we had a total of just two goals on Friday night. Petersen and Grubauer have been playing with a lot of confidence lately.
The Under is also 5-1 in Colorado’s past six games overall, and they have allowed just four total goals in the past three, and 1.8 goals per game across the previous six.
